Jacqueline Jeruss, MD, PhD promoted to Associate Professor of Surgery
Jacqueline Jeruss, MD, PhD has been promoted to Associate Professor of Surgery. Dr. Jeruss completed medical school at the University of Vermont and residency training at the McGaw Medical Center of Northwestern University. She earned her PhD ifrom Northwestern University in 2003 and completed fellowship training in 2006 at the MD Anderson Cancer Center. Dr. Jeruss then returned to Northwestern to join the Division of Breast Surgery.
Seema A. Khan, MD awarded $50,000 Lynn Sage Cancer Research Foundation Grant
Seema A. Khan MD, Professor of Surgery, has been awarded a $50,000 Lynn Sage Cancer Research Foundation Grant for her project titled The Humanized Mouse Mammary Fat Pad for Testing Breast Cancer Prevention Drugs.
Jacqueline Jeruss, MD, PhD receives 2012 SSO Clinical Investigator AwardCongratulations to Dr. Jeruss, recipient of the 2012 Society of Surgical Oncology Clinical Investigator Award in breast cancer research, funded by Susan G. Komen for the Cure. Her project "Synergistic action of carboplatin/eribulin in combination with CDK inhibitor therapy for the treatment of triple negative cancer" will be funded for a two-year period effective October 1, 2012.
Jacqueline Jeruss, MD, PhD honored by AMWACongratulations to Dr. Jacqueline Jeruss on being selected as the recipient of this year's American Medical Women's Association Gender Equity Award! This award is given annually to acknowledge the efforts of a medical professional who has helped to create an environment for gender equality in healthcare in both their professional accomplishments and teaching responsibilities. Our students here at Feinberg nominated her to receive this award and we are proud to announce she is this year's winner.
