Mary joined the Department of Surgery in February 2008. She is responsible for managing the Division of Surgical Education. Among her activities, she collaborates with surgery faculty members to efficaciously integrate educational technologies into their teaching of surgery residents and clerkship students. Prior to joining the department she worked at Northwestern University's Division of Information Technology and served as the Manager of Faculty Support Services. In that capacity she was responsible for the support and training of Northwestern University faculty members in the use of a variety of web-based and desktop educational technologies. Ms. Schuller holds a MSEd from Northwestern University and a BS from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln.
Leslie joined the Surgical Education team in October 2012 as the Medical Student Clerkship Coordinator. Leslie's new role oversees our ACGME accredited general surgery residency program. Some of the major responsibilites include recruitment, orientation, graduation and rotation scheduling. Prior to joining the Department, Leslie worked in advertising and sales, specializing in Direct Marketing first at a small advertising agency in Wilmington, Delaware, and then at ING DIRECT. Leslie holds a BA in Communications from the University of Delaware and is currently pursuing a Master’s in Higher Education Administration and Policy from Northwestern University.
Assistant Housestaff Coordinator
Christina joined the Surgical Education team as the Assistant Housestaff Coordinator in September 2014. Christina coordinates resident conferences, organizes evaluations of residents, and performs verifications for graduates of our residency program. Christina recently completed her BA in Political Science and Sociology & Anthropology from DePauw University.
Anna joined Northwestern as the Clerkship Coordinator in December 2014. Anna supports the Surgical Education department in organizing the clerkship for the third year medical students and the Sub-Internship for the fourth year medical students. She also assists with visiting students who enroll in surgery electives. Prior to joining the department, Anna worked for InnerWorkings in supplier relations and as a field organizer for Organizing for America. Anna graduated from Indiana University with a BA in Political Science & History.
